Caroline Hixson (NCTM) holds a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance Studies, University of Idaho (2008), and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, Webster University (2004). She was also awarded a High School Diploma from the National Guild Of Piano Teachers (2000). Her principal teachers include Prof. Daniel Schene, Dr. Steven Spooner, and Dr. Peter Henderson.
Caroline began her teaching career in 1997. She joined the piano faculty at Webster University in 2014, where she teaches applied piano and serves as a collaborative pianist. She is also an active collaborative pianist in the Saint Louis area.
Caroline spent 6 years living in New Orleans, where she maintained a private studio as well as a studio at Loyola’s Preparatory Program. In addition to teaching private lessons at Loyola she taught group piano classes and accompanied both college and preparatory ballet classes. Ms. Hixson maintained an active accompanying schedule in New Orleans, and was a regular adjudicator of competitions and festivals in the Southeast Louisiana area. During that time she served as a member of various boards as well as chair of the Rally competition.
